Felt like doing something for fall.. since it HAS INDEED come to Seattle. ::tap dances in the rainy, soggy mess:: I love it. So then I though, hadn't drawn my little Blossy in a while, and who better to represent the season than this gorgeous little red-head. ^^
I FINISHED! A contests entry for ~Powerpuffgirls
I did the the best I could with the background. Originally Buttercup was going to be in this too, but I didn't get to her in the vector stage, so I decided to have only Blossom. Actually, I think it turned out more interesting with her, because the background I'd HAD planned with her and Buttercup was shockingly more boring than this one, if that's possible
Some notes on the coloring. In the original, I'd added an opaque goldish overlay to give it a very orangy glow. For the final I've posted, well I had the overlay, and I also messed with the channel mixer to give it a very bright, fall-ish sort of feel that was almost (intentionally) unnatural. I couldn't really decide which I liked better... so I saved both. I might place up the original without the channel mixing in scraps.. or a smaller version of it at least. The background shapes were all done with various selections and paths with texture filters on some, with some various other things done to them.
Blossom was done in Adobe Illustrator 9, sketched out in Photoshop 7
Background done in Photoshop 7 (GAH!!!)

Time spent: ... off and on over a few days.
