I've been reading all the IDW Transformers comics from the beginning, starting with Infiltration, Escalation, Devestation, then working my way through All Hail Megatron. So far, All Hail Megatron is vastly superior. Mostly because it has more Wheeljack, but also because I feel the characters are more fleshed out. Honestly, from what I've seen in IDW, all the Transformers seem very detached and unpersonable, with maybe the exception of Ratchet. Overall, decent reads though.

And seriously, just let Sunstreaker die in peace! I can't believe how much they've put that poor guy through. He seems to keep ending up as a tortured, severed head. Leave the poor guy alone already!!

I also got my hands on vol. 1 of the Dreamwave run. While I know they were largely surrounded by flurries of consipracy and intrigue, so far I've actually found the Dreamwave continuity to be a little more interesting. It seems as if it follows and takes place directly after the actual G1 continuity, which I think is neat. The rounded proportions honestly don't bother me all that much. The only thing I've noticed with the artwork is that sometimes the linework is a little weird, like Wheeljack for example sometimes looks very disheveled and off-center. I can forgive that though, because he's distracted by fascinating viruses!

I've noticed that both continuities don't seem to know what to do with Optimus Prime's personality, with again, the exception of All Hail Megatron it seems. Michael Bay's portrayal aside, I've always thought of Prime as more of a pacifist, only taking the offensive when it's absolutely necessary. These Prime's seem very trigger-happy. They're still empathetic, but also very agressive. Not that it's a terrible thing, just different. I'm rambling.

I have some new drawings I just nead to clean them up and make them shiny. :3
